What makes a Turkish cotton towel

Turkish cotton is grown in the Aegean region of Turkey. Ours is long-staple: longer fibers, spun into yarn with fewer loose ends, so the loops stay soft and shed less. Long fibers are why a Turkish cotton towel feels plush without a coating to fake it. More on our cotton.

Why 780 GSM

GSM is grams per square meter, the weight of cotton in the fabric. Everyday bath towels usually sit between 400 and 600 GSM. At 780 GSM, MIORA towels are dense, heavy terry. You feel the weight when you pick one up, and again when you wrap up in it.

Nothing added after weaving

Many towels leave the mill with a silicone softener that feels soft in the store and washes out at home. Ours are pre-washed with water only, so the softness comes from the fiber. Skip fabric softener at home too: it coats cotton and slows how fast a towel drinks water.

Bath, hand and face, in sets

Bath towels are 30″ × 56″, hand towels 20″ × 30″ and face towels 13″ × 13″. Start with The Switch, 8 pieces for one bathroom, or go up to Host & Home for the guest room too. OEKO-TEX® certified. Free shipping over $75 and 30-day returns.
